Let’s call this what it is: a lame attempt at preventing weapons from being brought in. They have to say it’s to prevent tripping though because it would look bad to put it in writing that guns are getting in the school. Guess you better ban pants with pockets too!

they’re going to get really mad when laptops are getting knocked out of our hands and stepped on because we don’t have a bag to put them in... it happened all the time at central when we couldn’t carry backpacks, and with 3x as many kids, it’ll be more of an issue.

This is truly ridiculous my kids already wear their coats in winter to class due to there not being enough time an now u want to take their backpacks .....makes no sense so they dont trip how about giving them time to get to shere they need to be!!!

this is ridiculous this is my granddaughters first year shes a nervous wreck already worrying about makin it to classes on time switching books just ridiculous get it together KHS !!!! they can carry a backpack if they want what's this Russia now!!!!

I find it quite disrespectful that they sent out a letter a week before school starts. People had already bought backpacks and school supplies that are only able to fit in a bag. They should’ve sent this letter out awhile ago so people wouldn’t have spent their money on buying a bag. There is not enough time during passing period to go to our lockers, use the restroom if needed and get to class on time. The lockers aren’t even wide enough to fit a bag nor even a jacket. I think teachers will be quite upset if we bring papers/homework to class all ruined since we won’t have anything to put it in. They already make us suffer enough by making sure we have our school id with us. They shouldn’t take our backpack privilege from us.
