At St Athanasius Orthodox Christian School students are facing challenges with maintaining hairstyles because the current rules don’t allow the use of hairpieces/extensions for plaiting. Without extensions, our hairstyles don’t last, affecting our confidence and participation in school activities. The students, especially those who prefer plaiting and cultural hairstyles, struggle to keep their hair styled for school events or daily classes. This impacts our self‑expression and comfort. We propose that the school allows the use of hairpieces/extensions for plaiting. This will help us maintain lasting hairstyles, boost confidence, and embrace cultural and creative expression.
