Golf is one of the only recreational activities where one can easily maintain social distancing rules. Other golf courses in the metro area have achieved this. Being outdoors, walking, getting exercise and mental stimulation are all vital. Please reconsider the closing of the golf courses.

I believe it is ok for the golf courses to be open as long as everyone social distances and follows the rules of the state

I appreciate the government's action during these times but golf should be allowed since it still can adhere to the social distancing guidelines and it doesn't induce large crowds

On passing by a public park where a few were playing basketball, and obviously in close proximity, I thought, golf, now there's a non contact sport. Please reconsider opening golf courses, with obvious provisions. Thank you.

Walking and being outside w only 2 or 3 people that are never close together except a few times (minutes) but still 10+ feet away is a good thing. Plus the mental stress that this Covid19 is creating is almost as big as the virus itself. Golfers without golf is even more of a stress, plus playing helps w the Covid stress. Couldn’t think of a better place to be.

As a Primary Care Doctor and Clinical Professor at Cooper Medical School, it is healthy for people to get out and walk. Closing the course for walkers is tantamount to closing parks.

This is no different than a walk around the neighborhood. At our club, the clubhouse is closed (fine), there are no electric or push carts supplied by the club, the ball washers have been removed and the cups are elevated so you don't need to pick the ball out of the hole. We will not be touching the pin and the bunker rakes have been removed. Because it is a private club, no money is exchanged. You just show up and play.

At 73, my chance of getting within 6 feet of another player is unlikely on a good round and with the precautionary rules in play golf remains a very solitary sport with physical and mental benefits for all.
