Done correctly golf is a perfect alternative to walking in our open parks. In fact there is more social distancing that takes place on a golf course than on a four foot wide trail with people passing each other continuously.

We are being encouraged by all health officials and experts to continue to get fresh air and exercise through this crisis. Walks (or runs) around the block or in the park have been suggested many times. I've done both as well as played golf and close contact with other people was far more common in the park and around the block than it was on the golf course. A little common sense here please.

I am usually at least 20 feet from my foursome on any given shot- even the putting green!!

We are never within 6 ft of each other and don’t take the flag stick out. We need to get outside and out of our house. Plus our courses need the biz

Golf in general is a social distancing game held outside! We all have hand sanitizes and if not then hand 1 out per 4 some. Of all the sports this is the one you want to open up to begin normalization.

Courses should be open with the following exceptions, walking only, no rakes in the sand traps you can improve your lie in them, and leave the pins in, as already I have seen a faster play with them being left in. Increase the amount in between tee times

Please allow us to go outside and enjoy the game and sport we love. We are aware of the rules and protocols of social distancing, however not having ANYTHING to do because YOU, Governor Murphy, closed all businesses and shut down all events besides the grocery store. If you force people to stay inside they will go crazy, give us something to do, give us golf back.

Golf can and should be played with proper precautions at this time. We all need to get out and get in some exercise. It is vital for our health, both physically and mentally. Folks from New Jersey are coming to play at public courses in New York.

Walking with your spouse for a few hours is like NYC closing streets for pedestrians to get out and walk. You can limit play to only twosomes and stagger tee times so that you are still practicing Social Distancing. Please let me have my exercise back
