Walking-keeping distance with other golfer is NOT an issue- is great for health (Body & Mind that is) during very difficult time.

Good idea / All North Carolina courses and a lot of Florida courses are open even though they’ve mandated shelter in place laws

Following the safety rules in distancing New Jersey should allow controlled golf courses to open.

I played Rock Manor in DE last weekend, they had pulled the flags, and there were no rakes, and no carts.

Private clubs can be members only, walking, with provisions stated in petition. Minimal, if any, Employees needed.

There is no reason to interact with people at a golf course. Carts can be left with scorecards on them. Separate tee times by 10 minutes and let people enjoy their social distancing while getting some fresh air and exercise.

With extended spacing between tee times and separate carts I believe the club can be opened.

If procedures are followed, golf as defined should be safe and free of spreading covid-19. In addition, being in the fresh air and ultra- violet rays from the sun is a healthy by-product of the great game of golf.

Since New York is hot spot , there will be influx of New Yorkers coming to New Jersey . I am writing to consider the employees of the golf course. Don’t think it is safe at this particular time for employees of course, they would have to deal with the public and be referees on the course to see if public abiding the rules.

As long as the guidelines are strictly applied by the golfing community, this activity could be considered to reasonably safe. With the exception of two in a cart, golfers are typically separated by several feet or more. Participants would, however, have to be more conscientious of themselves, other players, handling equipment and balls, and courses will have to adopt and enforce the require safety measurements, as noted in the petition. Golfers should also be reminded to sanitize themselves, clothing, and equipment after each round.
