Our club restaurant and clubhouse is closed, flags and ball washers removed. Golf carts are prohibited. There is no reason why golfers should not be permitted to walk the course. We are responsible people and are capable of practicing social distancing.

Life needs to start to get back to normal. We can walk and be socially distant. There is little difference between taking a walk around my neighborhood and talking a walk around my golf course.

Murphy needs to begin seriously punish the few people ruining it for those of us practicing proper social distancing. He needs to allow the behaving 99.5% of New Jerseyans to act responsibly. Punishing all residents for the acts of a few is not the answer.

NY has their courses open.Also a lot of courses are municipal and would cost more tax payer money to fix if they aren’t maintained. As well these massive stores for groceries are still open and a person has a higher chance getting sick from there.

Golf courses can stay open and can still comply with social distance requirements. Also, courses can be asked to assure golfers are wearing masks, hole cups are capped and ball cleaners are shut. Opening golf courses will allow people to get out, get some fresh air and get some walk too.

We need the parks for healthy immune systems and our mental health right now. We go to Allaire State Park in Howell everyday - I have never seen anyone congregating. People are keeping a safe distance and enjoying the park and trails for dog walks and with their families. Issues in particular parks can be taken care of if they come up, but they do not all need to be closed. People are being extremely cautious and respectful.
