Outside exercise is necessary for mental health, and this is a game that can be played individually.

Golf is great exercise and keeps your mind in focus. Better off on the course than in a food store !

For those with common sense, golf has to be one of the safest activities we can do keeping social distancing in mind

Golf courses encourage safe social distancing while allowing people to be physically active and outside, which has been scientifically proven necessary for a healthy immune system, as well as supports mental health. This is critical during this time. There is absolutely no logical reason they should be closed.

Golf is by nature a social distance sport. There is no reason that with the proper precautions the game of golf can't be enjoyed during this time. Plus think of the people that can go back to work if the courses open (pro-shop employees, landscapers, etc.)

We at Toms River Country Club adopted safety precautions 10 days ago and they were working just fine. We have the full support and cooperation of our members and our staff. Please allow us to reopen to help us maintain some sort of normalcy and get outside for some exercise and fresh air.
