New York State courses are open, why not NJ? Courses need the business. Will lessen crowding in parks and other public spaces.

Besides being the ultimate sport of social distancing, the exercise and fresh air one obtains from playing golf is critical to both the physical and mental well being of its aficionados.

Golf with safety precautions should be as healthy as taking a walk. Please reopen!

I am a physician and think risk is minimal

i believe it would be safe with the precautions. i do suffer from mild depression and it is something medication and therapy can not replicate.

If all parties act responsibility (i.e. walking only, maintain proper distance, avoid touching flagstick, etc) it would seem golf poses less risk than grocery stores while simultaneously providing a healthy outlet for many.

Especially if you belong to a country club you don’t have to pay anything at all or check in with anyone, just walk on and play. And the golf course is many many times less crowded than any public parks

With common sense precautions (walking, i.e. no use of carts; limited access to club house) why would we not allow outdoor activity and social distancing?

My club (White Beeches in Haworth) actually also raised the hole cups about 1” out of the ground so no one would put there hand in the hole and also removed the ball washers. Now we can’t even play with those restrictions. Walk and play is safe
