The golf community immediately bonded together to create (AND COMPLY WITH) new rules, etiquette, and precautions to make golf the safest way to get outdoors, enjoy some vitamin D, and exercise. Please let us continue to be an example of proper social distancing!

Walking only. I am a physician, 69 years old. The lack of exercise outweighs the risk of contamination.

A ban on golf is ridiculous
If we can walk, jog or run we should be able to golf with recommendations included herewith

Walking around my 55 yrs old community there not many members. To get to walk around the course hitting ball by myself can not spread the virus. We don't have to touch the flag. I see no difference between me on the course or walking around the community which a lot of people do and they are at 6 feet and I am walking about by myself.

I understand that golfers are walking courses in Pennsylvania that, technically, must be, are listed as, and by all appearances (including written notices) are closed, but on which no one is stopping them from playing. It seems to be working out ok, and I’ve no doubt that the courses involved are garnishing great public relations in not stopping folks from coming out. And many golfers have commented that they will strongly support those courses with more play once they have officially reopened. Of course Pennsylvania’s much larger area nonetheless has only 1/4 of the coronavirus cases that New Jersey does, so there is that built-in measure of safety.

It gives some solace to us golfers and its as good as therapy. worrying about our and family's health combined with the economic impact reinforces the need for an outlet. Thank you
