Allow Girls to Wear Skorts for PE Kit

Stop forcing changes that the majority don't want.

I believe the girls look much smarter wearing a skort for PE.

My preference is for more traditionally gender specific uniforms with express agreement given/not unduly withheld for those that wish to deviate. The conformity is important as it reduces the focus on 'difference' and the restricts the demands of the individual at the behest of the consensus, to personal and non-school times.

Girls should absolutely be allowed to wear skirts or shorts. Whatever they feel more comfortable in. I presume boys feel more comfortable in shorts? Perhaps you should withdraw shorts as an option for them too. We all want to feel uncompromised and safe in the "private" area. We also want to be as mobile as possible without having our dignity compromised. For whose benefit is the "skirt-only" rule? Voyeurs? Pervs? Skinny girls? Boys? Think again!!!!!!!

I would have hated to be made to wear shorts at school. I came from the gym skirt and PE knickers generation. Has no consideration been given to the tricky time of puberty and navigating periods for girls? Teenage girls shouldn’t be forced to wear shorts.
