We, the citizens of Los Angeles County, petition The Los Angeles County Department of Regional Planning and or the appropriate government entities to allow the sale of food from a food truck/cart on private commercial properties.

There is sufficient parking for the amount of residents who drive to the food truck/cart, so there will not be any major increase in the number of people to the property. In addition, we the residents support such convenient mobile take-out facilities.

I demand that the Planning and Zoning Commission allow this use on commercial private property immediately. The current zoning code does allow for food sales on commercial property, however interpretation is loose in categorizing food trucks as restaurants. Sections 22.28.010, 22.28.020, and 22.28.170 should not be in violation given these type of food facilities are not recognized in these sections of the municipal code.
