c'mon Apple, seriously... it seems odd that Apple is not actively working to make this app (or the functions it provides) immediately available and its use supported and encouraged given all the research and science behind it showing the health benefits. Apple has always been very eco-oriented and health conscious so what's the issue here? policy?... seriously...? please find a way to make this app readily available with your blessings as that would better suit your image and reputation that fighting it does. Thank you.

We use flux on all of our mac's. If we didn't have flux, we wouldn't be able to use out mac's at night! We are able to go to sleep and stay asleep all night as long as we use flux. Please allow it in the app store. The blue light at night is is detrimental to our health.

I understand Apple not wanting app-makers to use private APIs, but certain cases such as f.lux shows that private APIs can be used to make benefits. Apple should look at these kind of apps on a case-by-case basis and determine if they're detrimental or not to the user experience. F.lux would be a great app and very popular if Apple chose to permit it on the App Store.

The only reason I jailbreak is to use f.lux. Then you provided a way to install f.lux without jailbreaking (side-loading) but then you strong-armed f.lux (and only f.lux) to no longer provide their app for this. Shame Apple! I read for hours at night and I can't use my iPad without f.lux. Please stop being so ignorantly obstructionist. Either buy f.lux or provide the same capabilities natively.

I use this app every day on my Macbook Air and it does wonders for reducing eye strain and overall mellowing out the screen. Why not have the same on a phone or tablet, where the necessity is the same if not greater because of their ubiquity?
