The school should ensure the IB and alevel students fairness, and since both exams are cancelled, The final alevel mock papers should be OPTIONAL

I think optional exams would be an appropriate way to conduct assessments and appoint students final grades. It not only allows students to focus their efforts on subject which still require further evidence for certain grades, but also relieves a significant amount of stress on students who feel overwhelmed and emotionally fatigued, which proves to be the overwhelming majority.

I really hope the school will hear us out and work together with all stakeholders to find a win-win solution regarding this important matter.

Although I am an IB student, I believe it to be deeply unfair that these assessments are not optional. If students or teachers feel as though they need more evidence to achieve a certain grade, they should take exams. However, making it compulsory for everyone causes unnecessary stress that could be otherwise prevented. As a school that promotes maintaining wellbeing under academic pressure, I think it is vital that as a school we align our words with our actions.

Teachers should consult with us on what standard grade we are working at and then we should have the CHOICE of taking exams if we feel we want to give evidence of improvement!

There is enough evidence over 2 years of learning to give us grades

Make them optional so that if we feel like we are happy with our grades now then we just continue to provide evidence with essays etc but if we aren’t in one subject or all we take the exams to further the evidence
