Allow Dual Language Immersion Teachers into America!

Culture exchange is the only way people could grow and learn how to love others no matter the differences.

We need our dual language teachers.

I value Native Dual Language Immersion Teachers.

As a former language teacher I can tell you these individuals make the program work! My children need these amazing teachers in their school to help them learn not just another language, but another culture, which strengthens understanding and appreciation of one's own language and culture.

Please allow dual language immersion teachers to continue working in our schools.

My Portuguese dual immersion students have benefited greatly from this program. Don't stop it now! Let our teachers in!

The goal is for our children to speak two languages at a native level. They NEED native speakers to teach them to do that!!

Utah schools need native speaking certified teachers for fuel language schools.

America is where we include others, learn from others, and are better because of it!

We need to be able to access educators from all over the globe to give our children the best opportunity for language immersion. This is critically important for our kids to understand the broader world they live in.

As National Language Teacher of the Year for 2020, I can't overstate the importance of fully staffing our language classrooms here in the US. If we are to succeed in the 21st Century, our children must be ready for the multilingual, global nature of our society!

There is a shortage of world language teachers in the U.S. please allow teachers from other countries to come and share their culture with American kids. I was a dual language immersion teacher for three years and held a J-1, F-1 and H1B visa before I became an American citizen.

We need DL teachers

We need these teachers! Unfortunately, the US has never prioritized language learning and the only way we can continue DLI programs is with the help of these International teachers. They are imperative to creating global citizens.

My children have and continue to be in the Chinese Immersion program and we love it!!!!

My daughter is benefiting greatly from the Russian DLI program. I see no reason to keep the native Russian teachers out of our country. They are doing wonderful things for our children’s education.

Please let these teachers come and work. They are dedicated professionals who are highly trained and caring people. We want our children to learn from them and have an incredible learning experience. However they can only do this with their teachers in the classroom.

DLI education has been research-proven to be the most effective way to learn a second language. Language use at a high-functional level is necessary for our national security and international commerce. It is a mistake to have an uneducated population. Children in other countries, such as Finland, are proficient in several languages upon graduation. This isolationist approach just puts us further behind as a country. It should tell us something if we have to find teachers from abroad because our own populace is not at a level where we can handle immersion instruction in content, core classes.

This program and these teachers are critical for the future development of an ever growing segment of our students.
