Allow Dual Language Immersion Teachers into America!

My kids have had wonderful experiences with our French interns, and helping to host them has been a joy. Even if their school could find French interns in the states (which they can't), nothing can compare with language instruction from native speakers.

Visiting teachers provide lessons in culture, and the true language experience that teachers form the US cannot replicate. Please let these amazing people into our country to help our children remain competitive in the global economy.

DLI was a total game changer for my nervous child. She will be entering 7th grade this fall and I credit her DLI education as the catalyst that helped her feel more confident and brave and willing to dare and try hard things. In fact, it is my earnest opinion that DLI provides exactly what is lacking in public education - challenge and breadth education that is aligned with the global environment we live in in this 21st century.

Compassion for those less fortunate

It’s not just language it’s the exposure to all the cultural differences as well. I would hate to see this program shut down due to visa issues.

We need to keep this program going with native speaking teachers.

2 of my daughters have been in a Chinese immersion program since first grade. We need these valuable teachers!

Dual Teachers are most needed.

I support this cause because I believe in dual language education. Being bilingual opens your mind to accept other cultures and to accept differences. That’s exactly what America needs nowadays. Be inclusive and open minded about race, color, and social status.

Dual immersion teachers provide a fundamental service. We need to let them in immediately.

These teachers invaluable to the immersion program! I can’t imagine where my kids would be without them. Please allow them to teach. The lessons the kids learn cannot be learned any other way.

The DLI program is amazing and we love and appreciate our international students.

These teachers are vital to the DLI program

We need foreign language teachers to help our young students gain needed skills to be able to be able to compete with other countries where dual language is required!

My boys both participate in a Portuguese dual language immersion. They have benefited greatly by participating. It would be a shame and a waste to suspend the program and to send away all of the magnificent teachers on this program!

As an educator, I had dreamt for such a program a long time ago without knowing it existed in the US! This is good for business and places the US ahead. Who wouldn't want good business and being ahead in anything. We NEED our native guest teachers to be effective because we don't have anyone to replace them.

Keep DLI

We have a German Emerson program that realize on teachers from German please.....make it so they can come over it benefits our school system and also our economy

if they are threatening to pull funding if schools don't open, let teachers here to teach!!!
