My child is in Chinese immersion, we need Chinese teachers!

Yes Americans are out of work, but then provide training or jobs for those Americans, those out of work are not teachers, or anyone ready to enter the school system, let alone teach a language as well. Blanket policy which does more harm than good.

This is crucial to the learning of so many students. We don't have the workers here in the US that have the requirements for these positions. By restricting their access, it doesn't create jobs for Americans, it destroys an amazing program.

My son has taken 4 years of Dual Language, Chinese, in school. He absolutely loves it!! I love that he’s learning another language and bettering his education. These teachers are amazing!!

The immersion programs are essential to our students to make them better global citizens.

I have four kids in the program and my oldest one in the program is in high school. It has changed our lives! We would be devastated if the program was stopped.

Let the DLI teachers come into the country to teach!!

As the Curriculum Director over DLI in our school district, I had 7 new international hires for 2020-2021. Elementary is established, but we are now moving into secondary in 7th grade and we have 6 languages. I am pleaing with you that J1 visas for these teacher be approved and allowed to travel to teach our children. Think how much more our children and economy are benefits from have students fluent in Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish. They can use this skill in the workforce in very specialized professions.

This is so important to the education of our students!

My kids have been in dual language immersion for 9 years now, and my youngest just started last year. It’s such a valuable program, and having native teachers makes a huge difference! Please let them come here! They add to our children and families, and add to our great nation!

We must be inclusive, not exclusive.

This is such an important program! I hope that the executive order can be reversed!

How can anyone not see the importance of educating our children in this way??

Learning a second language is a great advantage to the children involved. It not only gives them greater opportunities, but they do better in all their academics. Don't deprive those involved of this opportunity. Save the dual language teachers!!!
