we should be allow to keep cats as long as we dont let them out from our premises. our hse should be kept clean and ordour free. they need a plc to feel safe.

The reasonsecond given for not allowing cats are ridiculous. They are wonderful pets and VERY quiet.

Yup, I don't see why cats can't be allowed to stay in HDB flats. They're so much cleaner than dogs and much lower maintenance too. As long as the owners are considerate and don't anyhow let their cats roam about, I think it should be fine.

In Canada, there is a charity program to place senior cats with senior citizens living alone. The cat and human provide much needed companionship and attention to each other. I hope that with the passing of the petition, somewhere down the road, we can create a similar program.
