Cromwell Community College Chatteris state in their 'Uniform policy'

Health & Safety Requirements
Body Piercings Nose, eyebrow, tongue and other body piercings are a health and safety hazard and are not acceptable even with a plaster covering or a retainer.

Body piercings are not a health and safety issue except during practical lessons ie PE as stated within HSE guidance. The main issue seems to be that of 'image' which I feel is a lame excuse for not allowing such bodypeircings. Other local secondary schools do not appear to have a issue and allow for pupils the choice.

Please sign this petition if you think Cromwell Community College Chatteris should allow pupils the choice to wear retainers.
