Backyard chickens are a way of life a day how many of our ancestors supplied themselves with sustainance. To restrict something that has been used and farmed for centuries by our ancestors just doesn't seem feasible.

Let this good family keep their chickens! The fact that they are also using them for an educational purpose, should be enough reason to allow. If the county has any complaints, I do think they should file it away,..in file 13-the trash! There is always that one person on the block, who is lonely & miserable, that tries to take down everyone around them. Goodness!! Let this family keep their chickens!

I support the people of Juda in seeking the ability to raise their own food. Chickens are good for the environment (unless you're a bug), and good for your soul. Their peaceful animals that provide food, entertainment and happy work.

Families should be allowed backyard chickens. They're kept in their run and no rooster. Not hurting anything.

I absolutely know the feeling of the city/neighbors being against you when you have done nothing wrong. Your hens are a part of your family and you deserve to keep them!!

I am a former Bureau County resident. These people have no rooster, hence no crowing...no noise. This is ridiculous. Let them have their chickens.

This is just so sad. It's good for the kids. And fresh eggs? Should they get rid of dogs too? They are noisier than chickens. I can't understand the reasoning behind this.
Keeping chickens hurts no one and no thing.
Everyone needs back yard chickens.
