We, fans of Amercian Mcgee's Alice, received yet another disappointing move from EA, that led to the discontinuation of the franchise - even when it was in the hands of talented fans.

We ask EA to help the community by thinking outside the box, and seeing how to allow the production of the project can benefit all sides.

Full post of Avri Gveras from Instagram: It is with a heavy heart that we share this news.

We fought hard for a chance, and everything that could have been said was said, perhaps even things that shouldn't have been. From the start, we knew this day could come. We hoped for the best, believing there was still a chance. This project was created because where there's even a small chance, there's hope. I believe we made the right decision to try, it's better to attempt something than to never try at all. Rest assured, everything possible was done to bring this game to life.

Unfortunately, some things simply aren't meant to be.

The Alice: Asylum fan project has now reached its conclusion. Personally, I have no regrets, and I hope you feel the same. This project offered us a chance to learn about game development, gain experience, build our portfolios, and collaborate with talented individuals. I am immensely grateful for this experience and thank everyone involved, without you, this wouldn't have been possible. Your contributions: art, ideas, concepts, models, animations, music - were remarkable! We also extend heartfelt thanks to the Alice community, your support motivated us to keep pushing forward.

We understand you may be disappointed by this outcome, we are too. However, we hope you see this as a testament to what is possible. We successfully united hundreds of people to work on a game, that's inspiring! With that in mind, we encourage you to embark on your own projects and share your original ideas.

As for me, I find it difficult to move on easily. I plan to continue creating content related to Alice: Asylum if possible. I don't want this game to be forgotten and hope to present it in a different light. Perhaps I will eventually compile all the content into an actual game, but unfortunately, you won't hear about it because I am not permitted to publish or distribute the Alice: Asylum game.

Thank you once again for your involvement, love, and support throughout this journey. It has been truly wonderful.
