The current code: An “A” board must be located on the property of the business or services being
advertised. You may have one sign for every 25 feet of property frontage
but they cannot be within 10 feet of a driveway or other access point. Any
sign located on a sidewalk must provide at least 5 feet of sidewalk clearance
for wheelchair and walking access.
I am seeking to amend this code. To allow for 1 (one) "A"boards to be placed outside of business at the entry, either by the door, driveway, or street. If a business is not off of a main street, to allow for 1 (one) "A"board to be placed at a street corner to help direct potential customers.
I agree..if people can't see what Stanwood offers beyond hwy 532..they don't intentionally come .,My shop is starting year 3..and we've had people come through that have never been in this section of Stanwood...even long time locals..any extra affordable signage such as these placed at stop signs...etc offer knowledge of Stanwoods many small businesses..it would be great to switch boards around for visibility
