Petition to Assess the Impact of Security Queues on Non-Staff UN Personnel in Vienna During Peak Hours

This petition is initiated by Non-Staff UN Personnel across UN organizations in Vienna to understand how daily security screening delays affect personnel entering the workplace, particularly during conference and MUN periods.

Currently, non-staff personnel often wait in visitor queues for 20–50 minutes, including in extreme weather conditions. This recurring situation may impact:

• Mental well-being: Stress and fatigue caused by long daily queues
• Punctuality: Delays in starting work and attending meetings
• Work performance: Reduced ability to perform duties effectively due to lost time and mental strain

The purpose of this petition is to gather information from non-staff UN personnel to show:

• Who is affected (name and surname)
• Which UN organization and department they belong to
