Lets protect truck drivers and their families. Too many drivers are getting killed on the road with no way to find them. We need to make it manditory for ALL semi trucks to be equipped with GPS tracking devices. These devices we help cut down insurance costs, on semi trucks, it will also help with the recovery of stolen trucks. My dad went missing on May 12, 2009 and we recieved no help from the police agencies and as a family we were up late at night trying to track down this semi from the four different states. We had it narrowed down to about a 75 mile radious. Thanks to our missing persons posters and the help of OOIDA, (Owner Operators Independant Drivers Association) as a family effort we found him. Had there been a GPS device in the truck it would not have taken six days to find our father. Our dad is only one of many who have had something terrible happen to them while out making a living. Lets band together and stop the hurt.
