Prevent the Closure of Allander Indoor Bowling Club

Absolutely shocking the Allander and council would even consider taking away such a long standing hobby for the young and older residents of Milngavie and Bearsden. My grandparents and now parents go weekly. Disappointed

this facility is really needed for all generations especially the elderly

All that money gained from all new houses being built and the Council are reneging on a promise to replace like with like! Dispictable!

Please keep the bowling facity at the new allander sports

The indoor bowling green should be included in the rebuild as it is a well used year round facility. It encourages social contact in the older population of the area, thus avoiding social isolation and promoting health and wellbeing. It is also enjoyed throughout the winter months when outdoor bowling greens are closed.

Will be such a loss for my dad if this is taken away.

Social interaction and physical activity to important for all ages.

This closure affects the elderly and lonely who rely on the indoor Bowls for companionship and exercise.

The community requires facilities for all ages in all sports

I would like to see the indoor bowling green included in the Allanser rebuild as this is a vital community asset. It enables elderly and disabled members of Bearsden and milngavie to participate in sport with the rest of the community, not in isolation which is the case for many activities for these vulnerable groups.

I worked at the Allander for years and the bowling club is a fantastic facility used by many older residents in the community. We should replace like for like and not short change the members

Facility must be saved as Allander IBC play an integral part of Indoor Bowling in Scotland. The sport needs help to encourage, promote and enhance the game, not discouraging news from local authorities on potential closure.

The indoor bowling must stay within the Allander Sports Centre it is a vital lifeline for our community.

Allander Indoor Bowling Club provides a valuable facility for people of all ages to meet socially and in competition. East Dunbartonshire Council needs to think again and put the welfare of its residents before penny-pinching.

Either incorporate in new build or supply a new venue.

The Indoor facility provides a gentle exercise sport for the whole family , regardless of ability or disabilities

We need this

This is a facility able to be used by people of all ages, but it especially important to the older person who has unfortunately lost their partners or alone , this gives them a purpose to meet up with others in the same position for company and social activity,
