Petition purpose: Oxygen Media is about to greenlight a new minstrel show (reality show) showcasing rapper Shawty Lo and his 10 Babies' Mothers, and this petition is to collect signature of those who do NOT want this show to air in Spring, 2013.
- Ignorant media like this is NOT "What the people(consumers) want." - Rather, it is "what the Media companies WANT you (the consumer) to want."
- Please do not let these media companies dictate what we want to see. The consumer's voice needs to be heard, and the ignorance needs to be addressed and not looked over.
- Don't scroll or tweet or gossip about how much you don't like it without doing something to stop it, or it will continue.
Quote from tvbythenumbers:
Oxygen Media announces production of a new one-hour special, "All My Babies’ Mamas" (working title), revealing the complicated lives of one man, his children’s mamas, and their army of children. Premiering in spring 2013, this real-life special from creative duo Liz Gateley and Tony DiSanto of DiGa Vision will capture the highs and lows of this extreme ‘blended family’ that is anything but ordinary, while also showing the drama and the passion behind life’s most unexpected situations. http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2012/12/26/oxygen-orders-special-all-my-babies-mamas-to-premiere-in-spring-2013/162972/
- thanks
Oxygen Media thinks they can profit off stereotypes while insulting our intelligence with this garbage. I am currently drafting a formal demand to their executives to scrap this project before it ever reaches a screen. They need to understand that we are not passive consumers who will just sit back and watch them degrade our community for a quick buck.

Oxygen Media is finally feeling the heat because of your refusal to accept this trash. These executives think they can force this ignorance down our throats but we are proving them wrong. Keep the pressure on because they need to know we will not stand for their exploitation.

Enough is enough. Stop trying to make this mess look like normal family life. Gross.

This is nothing but pure trash. Why are we still glorifying this kind of nonsense on national television? We deserve better entertainment than this stereotypes garbage.
