All drivers in Southern California interested in a road course style track to keep our public roadways safe

The reason you should sign this petition is because here in San Diego county, there are no road course tracks within 70 miles. this leaves a large percentage of car enthusiasts with the option of a long drive or the use of public roads. being as though such a drive is not an option for many enthusiasts, it leaves a large percentile choosing to drive recklessly on the street.
If there was a road course within a reasonable distance, thousands of drivers would have a safe viable alternative to driving recklessly on public roadways. It has been proven that with a safe environment for enthusiasts to legally race their cars around a course, that the risk of them hurting themselves or others is significantly reduced.
This is why I feel it is important for all drivers to sign this petition. your signature will help pave the way to a fun, safe, public track in our future.

I second this petition! we need to appropriate more public tax dollars to support a few local southern California tracks! it would cost half of what it cost to have police enforcement on street races not to mention it would save hundreds if not thousands of lives!

We need to get racing off the streets and onto the tracks. Money wouldn't be a problem as long as it can be advertised properly.

Racing and the car culture is essential to California's car culture and having a race track in this area will help keep this alive. It gives drivers somewhere safe to race and a good public race track attracts business and vistiors from across the world. It increases safety, helps CA car culture and draws visitors.
