I think it is a fantastic idea to name the Arena after Alf Gregg He was always there to help kids have enough equipment and rides to games, and to give good positive advice to the players. He will be missed by so many..

about 20 years ago Alfy put me in a summer hockey program that he was coaching, at the time I was 14 yrs old playing against much older guys. he saw something in me that i didnt see in myself. he was all about hockey and he really new the game. i went onto later have a good junior career, but if i had focused and listened to Alf when i was young and arogant i may have had a good professional career! he would pick anybody up and drive anywhere, anything to help others, with always good intentions. I wish i could go back to that young kid but i cant, Alfy will be greatly missed and that arena was his home for years! it should be named after the true owner, Alfy Gregg, miss ya, Gordie Mitchell.

Sounds like reason enough to change the name of the Arena.

I did not know him personally but any man that would dedicate this much time to helping the community should get some recognition.

Arrica and I use to be bestfriends I spent so much time at his house, he was like a second grandfather to me! You were looked up to by the entire population of Brighton, you did such a simple Job that brought joy and happiness to the youth of Brighton! Rest is paradise Alf❤️

My brother devoted his time and most of his life to hockey, baseball and the children of this community. This would be a great honour to Alfie and his family. We thank everyone for their kind words and support.
