We would like to thank everyone who has signed the petition over the last two years. The petitions has been passed by our government over one and half years ago, but not a thing has been done . So we need to start all over again and let the government put on paper what it is that they have passed and how it is working

This is a system that is set up in America and has been very successful in locating missing children
The AMBER Alert Program, named for 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, is a voluntary partnership between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, and transportation agencies to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. Broadcasters use the Emergency Alert System (EAS) to air a description of the abducted child and suspected abductor. This is the same concept used during severe weather emergencies. The goal of an AMBER Alert is to instantly galvanize the entire community to assist in the search for and safe recovery of the child.
How does the Alert system work
Alerts are sent out via the Emergency Alert System (or Emergency Broadcast System, originally designed to disperse information after a nuclear attack) to law enforcement agencies and radio and television stations. The announcements are prefaced by a special \"Abducted Child Statement\" code, to differentiate them from tornado or flood warnings. Some states also use large traffic alert signs on their highways, especially when the suspect is believed to have access to a car.

The increase in support has effectively forced the department to acknowledge our previous submission. I am now finalizing the formal request for a meeting with government officials to ensure previous commitments are finally put into writing.

Amber alerts save lives in the states all the time. Makes no sense why we havent copied it here. So frustrating.
If it helps find even one missing child it paid for itself. Stop dragging your feet and get it on paper.
I hope they listen this time. Enough is enough.
WHY IS THIS TAKING SO LONG??? Politicians are useless. Just do it already.
My heart goes out to Amys family. Nobody should have to go through what they did. Get this done for all the kids.

Its insane that we dont have this yet. Every second counts when a child goes missing. Bring it to Europe now!
