I object to this application. It is undesirable and unsafe to say the least for alcohol to be sold and consumed in or around a children's play area. As a local resident with young children I raise my objection in the strongest terms possible.

In total agreement with all you comments and would also like to add that equality and diversity in our community has not been considered carefully enough in relation to serving alcohol in a play area.

A licenced eating place within the Cassiobury Park is totally unnecessary. (1) The residents do not require the disturbances such a place would bring. (2) The Police and Ambulance services do not need any further burden from late night brawls and God forbid anything more sinister happening due to late night drunkenness (3) The children should be subjected to loutish behaviour that such a licence would inevitably bring to the park (4) There are adequate drinking houses close by to the park, with the Essex Arms actually being situated on the Cassiobury Estate itself.

Children aren't allowed to serve alcohol. Are you implying Daisy's are going to be irresponsible licensees?
Also, I don't think alcoholics go into nice cafes to buy £8 glasses of wine. They can buy cheap alcohol from an off licence and even drink it in the park if they wish.

Absolutely disgraceful to allow alcohol to be served at the park! There will be the alcoholics coming in and only kids to serve them and decide if they should be served. Why do people walking their dogs, watching their children play need alcohol?

The park is supposed to be a peaceful, family-friendly place, there’s absolutely no calling for alcohol being served right next to the children’s paddling pools. Keep it to the High Street.

Agreed. even as a 24 year old couple who likes a drink. Not in a children’s park plus at night it could be dangerous. Go to the Essex arms! You have my vote. Good luck David.
