Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community in Lebanon are not enjoying full rights. Article 534 of the penal code criminalises "unnatural sexual intercourse" which is punishable by up to one year's imprisonment. Research has shown that approximately ten percent of any modern population is Gay. Please help Alb Lobnan (and others*) reach the magic ten thousand signatures, to enables us to present the case in front of parliament and seek to abolish this archaic and outdated article. It does not matter whether you are of the LGBT community or not, this petition is about all Lebanese having equal rights in the eyes of the Law as stated in Article 7 of the constitution All Lebanese are equal before the law. They equally enjoy civil and political rights and equally are bound by public obligations and duties without any distinction. And remember we must all stand together for true change regardless of our sex, age, religion, race or sexual orientation.
