When I have to work more then 10 hours a day and don't get to see my family . Away for months at a time . Missing the family's get together and kids event .

Not right asking people from far to come work and say but u lose your double time if u wanna fly in and out .. so now right

The building trades are meant to have our best interests in mind. However I truly do not feel this is the case anymore. We are stuck in a race to the. Ottom now with non-union companies and the building trades are doing nothing to stop it. Instead they just continue to concede to the companies. We gave up double time and that was meant to be a means to grow our market share and to prevent a wage cut. However we haven't gotten anymore work and if the rumours I am hearing lately are true then we will be expected to take a pay cut here in the coming months. These big companies are still making billions in profit and yet the building trades falls hook line and sinker when they come to them claiming poor.

Double time is not a privilage when we work 7 days a weeks. We risk our lives away from our fammily on those oil and gas plant. Enough is enough. My weekends are not worth anything under double time. Taking our double time is thieft .

My wages are down by 30% because of our loss of double time, I have friends in the oil industry that left due to the he loss of the wages, im looking for a way out myself at this wage.

Brett McKenzie needs to resign. He has not acted on behalf of the members he represents. Double time should never have been given away without a vote by the mebership.

We are being attacked and are wages, benefits, pension are being eroded by the big company's crying "we are losing money" yet they can pay there CEO huge amounts of money. Price of gas is no longer tied to price of barrel of oil but what they want to charge.
Government does not care about little guy anymore as long as they get a cut of the pie.

a strong middle class=a strong country, I am sick and tired of building infrastructures a the cost of my health away from family so big companies and a corrupted government make all the profits and also that I have to pay taxes for the poor and for subsidies for those same companies that get Canadian citizens ressources for almost nothing on top of it...its a disgrace and government should be fair and get these matters resolved .....its insane cost of living going up job conditions getting worst and wages going down ...the few that benefits from these antisocial tactics should be in jail and their assets seized

The non union company's at my oil and gas site still get double time if they come in early or stay late for their shifts why did the unions get rid of it!!!?? Also I'm working 14/14 and I'm asked to come in for OT for 6 days and that runs through Easter and I STILL don't get doubletime???
