The closing of this facility would be a devastating blow to the Albert Lea and the surrounding communities. These communities have worked so hard to build infrastructure but losing this major medical facility puts many people in health risks. Mayo, please show your compassion to these communities.

Albert Lea and the surrounding community has worked hard to promote and develop itself. Mayo's decision to close the hospital is a huge blow to our momentum. What's next? We want a health care provider that cares about the needs of rural Americans.

Our community needs and deserves full service, economical daily and emergency services. 30% higher cost than other area communities is not acceptable. An Urgent Care Department that requires an appointment?

We need inpatient services in AL. If Mayo can't/won't provide them, then let's bring in someone who can/will.

If a city has enough population that supports a full time fire station we should have enough population to support a hospital.

Inpatient services are very crucial to have in the community.

Mayo is going against their own value statement. "The needs of the patient come first." More like the dollars come first to them rather than health or needs of patients. Shame on you Mayo.

Saving our inpatient, I. C.U. wing and Baby Place is critical to the future of our community! This includes 4 counties. Our trust in Mayo has been deeply severed. Their lack of transparency in their actions and failure to communicate in a timely manner was unacceptable. As well as failure at this point to compromise. I used to be proud of the fact that I. was from the state of Minnesota home of Mayo. I'm still proud of being a Minnesotan. No longer proud of the callous Mayo.

The Mayo brothers hunted in the area and they liked Albert Lea. Mayo brothers have historical meaning in Albert Lea. Why are they really going? When I am sick or in need of medical services it is not about "business" it is about my health and the health of the community.

Needs of medical care and facility in Rural America are essential to our culture and well-being.

Totally unexceptable. If they pull the hospital they need to pull everything.

Albert Lea and its surrounding community need to keep a full service hospital in the town for both social and economic reasons, and we are completely capable of supporting it. Mayo is using manufactured excuses to strip these services from our community, and really it is not interested in the business of rural medicine anymore. It is most focused on attracting wealthy sick people from around the world to its flagship in Rochester.

We NEED this hospital to serve ALL of Freeborn county. The young, the old, the handicap, the mother to be, the emergencies. It is far enough who live on the outskirts of Albert Lea to get the help they need. Going to Austin IS FURTHER than ANYONE wants .

Albert Lea has always had pride in the Hospital. The mayo came into town and is now trying to run off with the townspeoples history and legacy. It is unfair for a conglomerate to tale over a small towns beauty and healthcare. Give us back our life and health.
