As a survivor of child abuse, a former employee of a domestic violence/sexual assault initiative in Anchorage, and a continuing advocate for prevention of these issues that plague our great state, I wholly support The original bill. HB44 makes huge strides toward actual prevention where many other programs continue to fall short. Studies have shown that health disparities increase dramatically for a population that has been abused, molested and assaulted. Prevention may cost us a few pennies now, but it will save dollars down the road. It is imperative that we act now for our children, our children's children, and the future of our great state.

This needs to be passed without any add-on's or abuses. It is too important. There are too many kids in Alaska that will grow up abused.

Nearly every day we learn of another incident that cost someone their life. This is not time to play party politics. Knowledge is power. Give innocent victims that power by passing Erin's law.
