I am sick and tired of Legislators piggy backing their personal agendas to others bills. Let the bill go through with the original intent...helping to prevent abuse of our children. Change it back!

I signed on as a co-sponsor to HB44 and this new version in no way resembles the bill I support. I will remove my name as co sponsor of this bill is not restore to its original, simple, effective version. It's long past time to give our children the resources they need to protect themselves.

This is critical legislation and passage of the bill should not be postponed any longer. The longer we wait for adoption the number of victims increases. The intent of this legislation is to educate and protect and not a tool to play political football.

Passage of a clean version of this bill is essential to the health, safety and well-being of children in this state. For children that are being groomed or actively being abused, such education may give them the words and courage to come forward and receive help. Dunleavy, Giessel and Higgins should be continually and publicly shamed for what they have done to this legislation.

My biggest concern about asking for parental consent for this education is the majority of parents won't even read or concern themselves about the request. This further reduces the education's in Erins and Bree's law as a priority in protecting their children.

The original bill was a simple but profound proposition. It was hijacked by a "Commitee Substitute" in the worst possible way. While I can't support the changes, I can happily and proudly support the original bill.
