We the undersigned, as residents of the state of Alaska, do strongly support an Alaskan

Veterinary Reform Bill. This bill to:

1.)

Make it easier and more inviting for veterinarians licensed in other states to receive a

temporary license to provide pro bono veterinary work in Alaska.

2.)

Set clearly defined standards of veterinary care

3.)

Provide for statewide public input into the functioning of the Alaska state veterinary board

4.)

Give the Alaska public protection from consumer fraud by overpricing of veterinary services.

5.)

Prevent euthanasia of animals by veterinarians, or the threat of euthanasia, when the owner of the animal is unable to pay their veterinary bill.

6.)

Provide a legal way that veterinary care can be provided in rural Alaska when an Alaska licensed veterinarian is not present
