Alaska Airlines: End the Piracy
Billions in profits and aggressive acquisitions - the American airline industry is structured to limit your choice and options, the two biggest historical means used to send a message to specific companies regarding operating practices.
As competition is increasingly brought under the wings of the largest players consumer power decreases, leaving all subject to unfair pricing models, predatory fees, and basic customer service afforded to only those who can pay the largest sums.
Alaska Airlines is the worst perpetrator of practices that disadvantage the consumer, with draconian fees and disadvantageous rules. Simply buying a product, paying for a service, is not an express agreement to whatever a service provider wants to throw at the consumer, as this is pay-to-play piracy. The answer is not furthering consumer indebtedness through incentivized credit card programs. In a free-market capitalism, all players have the right to protect their interests through negotiation and bargaining, a right not acknowledged by Alaska Airlines.
This petition will go to the corporate offices of Alaska Airlines. By signing this petition, you're telling Alaska Airlines to stop holding costumers hostage through weighted, biased service "contracts"; and end profit-generating rules that are unrelated to industry demands.
