My name is Alaina Metzler and I am interested in running for Class of 2025 Officer!

Being heavily involved on campus, I think that I would be a great representative for our class! Through my current positions as Student Senate Vice President, American Chemical Society President, and Honors Council Vice President, I have developed numerous skills and characteristics that perfectly translate into the skills needed to be a successful class officer.

I display strong communication skills, and am dependable, organized, self-motivated, and driven. I am always accountable and see every task through to completion, two attributes that would be very beneficial in this role when fundraising and planning events. I remain detail-oriented and focused on goals, but am also very adaptable, creative, and open-minded. Both my club and job involvements as a Chemistry Tutor, Lab Assistant, Honors Mentor, Student Ambassador, and Preview & Orientation Guide Coordinator have taught me how to best work with others. Being exposed to both prospective and current students, my interpersonal relationship skills are strong and I love connecting with others while sharing my perspective and passion. Mount Union is truly my second home and I would love to give back to our campus community through this position. I am extremely passionate about Mount Union and am committed to everything that I do, always pushing myself to strive for more and take initiative. I am also extremely well connected through my various involvements and have a great working relationship with key departments on campus that could help propel initiatives and planning. I believe that these attributes paired with my unique leadership experiences as well as my abilities to effectively organize and communicate with others would be invaluable as a Class Officer.
