This is long overdue. Another example of blatant discrimination by jobsworths. Give him back his medal, his dignity and his rightful place in the sporting history of his country.

" Alain Baxter is a sincere and honest man who did not gain a competitive advantage” (Court of Arbitration for Sport ruling). Says it all really, yet Alain was still denied a medal that was rightfully his. IOC I suspect our efforts will be in vain, but it is never to late, please do the honourable and just thing for Alain and all who have supported him.

To the IOC. You have the opportunity to overturn one of the great injustices in sport, do not waste this opportunity to restore some of your credibility.

A fellow skier recently explained to my wife the circumstances in which the medal was taken away. What a gross. injustice. Time to put it right. Good luck Alain.

Alan Baxter should have his medal back, it should have never have been taken off him in the first place. A publice apology would be nice also.

Ludicrous to lose a medal for buying a replacement bottle of cold meds (the same brand name as the one you'd already had approved) because it's slightly different in America. And it's hardly a form of drug abuse that will give you the winning edge. He did well because he's a good skier, and by skiing in Scotland was more suited to the skiing conditions. Its a bit like Jackie Stewart winning a Grand Prix in really crappy weather.
