Alabama marijuana laws have long been outdated. It's time for Alabama government to create a bill to allow residents of Alabama to at least vote for or against a law that would either A) legalize recreational use of marijuana. B) legalize medical marijuana. C) decriminalize marijuana upto a specified amount or D) vote against progress in Alabama. If legalized it could be taxed and sold under strict guidelines. The money received from taxation could be invested in to education and other needed projects. It would free up our prisons for more dangerous individuals which in turn would save even more money. Our police officers would have more time to devote to more serious crimes. And maybe some of the saved money could be used to create jobs, as in road repair and other infrastructure.
