I don't live in your community but one of my oldest friends does. This matters! Cut the scrub.

I live in Oregon, which is also a state with a high level of fire risk. I fully support this petition to speed up measures to reduce fire risk in the Bay Area, which is Home to my brother and his family.

I was living in El Cerrito when a fire destroyed 7 homes on Wildcat Canyon Rd; we don't need to lose any more homes in the East Bay to wildfires. Please consider our concerns.

I reside in the fire zone near Tilden Park. I remember clearly the 1991 fire that burned my aunt and uncle's house and caused friends (and many animals) to evacuate to north Berkeley. I highly encourage the EBRPD in reducing fuel loads in a sound and science-based way.

After experiencing the Santa Rosa fire firsthand, I understand how serious it is to do everything possible to prevent any others.

As an East Bay Parks retiree who dedicated myself to controlling blue gum eucalyptus and other non-native invasive species, I am especially qualified to ask the Regional Parks Board to aggressively expand the wildfire fuel load reduction program in the East Bay Hills. Doing so will save many lives and significantly reduce property damage and the personal trauma of having one's home consumed by fire.
