2020 has been a challenging year globally, we are all faced with challenges that are beyond our control, however, we need to ensure that everyone comes together to overcome those challenges, every stakeholder must have a role.
Since March of last year many of the parents has faced financial difficulties; salaries were reduced significantly, in certain cases some parents received no income for 4+ months, some companies cancelled schooling allowance, other received no more incentives and the 15% vat has been introduced for Expats.
AISJ has not reduced the fees for last year from March-June, despite other international schools being able to do so by renegotiating their contracts and passing the savings back to the parents.
Our children education remains to be our top priority, thus why some of us are spending more than they can to ensure that the children are getting the best value. Unfortunately, we don't see that our children are getting the same value in home schooling to justify paying for the same fees. While we understand that most of the expenses for the school are fixed, we believe the school should renegotiate with the landlord, contracts and expenses to pass the savings back to the parents.
We all want the best for our children, and we all support AISJ as a community school, however the school needs to understand that many of the parents are no longer capable to justify the same tuitions fees, especially in these difficult times.
We appreciate the school’s board and management to look into this urgently

I spent the last hour reading all the personal notes you left and honestly it makes my heart sink because it shows just how much pressure everyone is under right now. I am working on getting a meeting set up with the administration soon because they cannot keep ignoring the fact that our budgets are completely shattered.

We would appreciate if the school board reviews and consider this request seriously. The board should provide parents with options on how this can be resolved; while those options may have risks and implications it would be better than having more parents pull their children to other schools.
There must be savings since last March that can be extended to the parents. Having the parents bear the load in these difficult times is not reasonable.
The school should consider the current economic crisis and the impact it has on the country in general and on the parents whose kids attend AISJ, specifically. The school has terminated many staff while classes are being held virtually leading to reduction in operational costs and utility bills. According it is logical to reduce tuition fees
All the private and international schools in KSA already cancelled the 15% VAT or deducted the fees by %15 including the British School in Jeddah. You already last year increased the fees and with 15 % VAT the school fees became very high comparing to the fees of other schools in Jeddah specially with the new system of learning at home.
We have 4 children at AISJ and we strongly support the initiative to reduce the tuition fees.
Please consider the school fees as it too high
We had not worked in the increased VAT, which should be reduced at a minimum

The fees for the intensive learning support increased dramatically by 6 times without proper justification or enhancement.
