Sea-Tac Airport Impact Study

It is time to reduce the impact on communities around the airport1

Unfair that SeaTac is the only airport that takes Passengers and Cargo 24/7, we are being poisoned.

We have to resist now or it will go even further too far. Plan for a faaaaar away airport so we can live in our beautiful city. NOW!!!!

This impact mitigation study is needed so we don't proceed blindly forward, but gather data for the health and quality of life of those of us who live and work here.

The stakes are high and the proposed study is overdue.

Take a walk on the serene, lovely Des Moines Creek Trail, just don't expect to be able to have a conversation due to the plane noise. Enjoy the trees before they are removed, the air before it is completely unhealthy, and imagine the impact the noise and pollutants have on the wildlife. Over 20 years without an impact study is shameful. We support this petition.

Absolutely absurd given the position of the airport. The whole of eastern Seattle is already plagued with noise and emissions from the current air traffic. This would have an adverse affect on thousands of residents, and make communities close to the airport virtually unlivable.

The health and well being of those of us that live in the Southend are being overlooked. Please consider a new study for the health of all mankind!

It is absolutely criminal not to complete another airport mitigation study. In 2015 planes leaving SeaTac airport emitted 6 million tons of carbon dioxide, what a large coal burning power plant would emit. You wouldn't be able to expand a large coal burning power plant without filing an EIS and studying the impacts so why is the PoS able to get away with expanding their pollution footprint. This doesn't even count the increased noise pollution from SeaTac and the particulate emissions.

I live in Tukwila closer to Interurban than Highway 99 but I hear the planes at 6 a.m. to midnight each hour of the day. I fear how this noise is going to affect ours lives in the summer and the pollution that you are bringing into our lives.

I've only been in Federal Way 6 years but have noticed the increasing noise already. Air travel is great, and it needs to be responsible.

I'm very concerned about the emissions from the low and frequent airplanes flying directly over our neighborhood, especially as I have COPD and already have problems with breathing.

The planes now fly so low it seems they are going to land in DesMoines or they are taking off from DesMoines. I'm more concerned about the emissions since that's something we cannot see or assess ourselves. We need a mitigation study to know how this is effecting our health.

Stop the flight madness over our homes! Our health will be suffering so others can make $$$$. We moved to quiet Vashon Island for the peace. The airlines are destroying the peace. Stop this insanity of 'more, more, more'! Planes are flying too low over our homes...get them back to the elevation they were at 5 years ago! Alternate routes so those that are under the current flight path can have a break. Share the health issues, share the noise, share the jet fuel falling on us, SHARE THE SKIES WITH PEOPLE WhO OWN HOMES NOW IN THE FLIGHT PATH! GET AN EIS!!!!!!

We need a new impact study..our area is unable to sustain more air traffic yet more impact does cause health issues and potential air accidents.
