Airlines: Silence Your “Airbus Whine” with the Simple Fix that Will Reduce Noise Distress for Millions of People!

Have certainly noticed some airliners are much noisier than others.

I hope this petition helps to stop the planes from flying over our homes and polluting our air.

Its ridiculous the amount of noise and inconvenience this has brought on to my family, my one year old son keeps on waking up in fright of the noise the multiple planes that pass.

Piercing noise emanates from jets flying directly over my house. More and more planes are using a narrow corridor over my house with increasing noise levels. Flights should be dispersed so that no one neighborhood suffers from the noise and pollution generated by these flights.

The whine of the Airbus flights over Menlo Park is the first thing I hear in the morning and the last thing at night. When I return home after a day elsewhere, I notice it immediately upon getting out of the car. This is far different than the usual ambient city noise - it's intrusive, annoying, and ruins quality of life. Fix it!

Please use this and any other means you can to quiet your planes.

GON (a community aviation action group) and HWCAAG (representing many parish & town councils), both in the UK, have been instrumental in persuading their local members of parliament to join with them in fighting the Airbus A319/320/321 airframe whine. The net result of this is that British Airways and easyJet the largest fleet operators of this type of aircraft in the UK have agreed to modify their entire fleets to eradicate this high pitched and debilitating whine. This nuisance is apparent between 25 miles and 5 miles from touchdown and could affect people living at least 1000 square miles around an airport, possibly more.

Please modify the Airbus A320 to minimize the 'whine' I hear when you fly over my house to land at SFO.

Aircraft destroy the quiet enjoyment of my home.

Stop the assault on our ear drums. Airline noise is ruining the quality of life in Palo Alto.

This is a design fault and should never have been approved having lived under the flight path to gatwick for anumber of years with these intolerable noises. there is no reason that this modification should not be carried out immediately, .

Thank you for your work on this noise pollution problem. Certain times of the day are unbeleivable in Medford near Tufts University. Let's share the burden of noisy planes.

This is a small price to pay for reducing the devastating impact that airplane noise is having as a result of the Nextgen RNAV technology. Please implement these changes ASAP!

Please fix this -- if you live close to the airport, the noise of climbing planes is unbearable!

This would be a good bandaid-like start to the problem.
