Disapointing to hear kids are being used as pawns in this dispute! Whatever happened to kids development and giving them the best chances to do well in sport? Not here obviously!

I know both Aimee and Chloe personally from the school they attend (or attended in Aimees case) and they are fantastic girls absolutely dedicated to their sport. I am very sad to hear what they are going through, they are children who will never get this time back so let them play and enjoy a sport they both love with a passion. Keep your chins up girls and Good Luck. Love Mrs Mitchell xx

The folks running this league and banning these little children from playing a sport are should be stripped of their decision making powers and banned from participating in any league activity. Little kids should be allowed to be little kids and participate in the sport/game they love. Adults who prevent that from happening are idiots.

The issue will continue as long as the current Directors of Hockey in SIH and Hockey UK are in their positions. Preventing anyone from playing for a reason other than something they actually did on the ice or at a practice is Criminal at best. No one is above the law and it is a pity that it is even a consideration not allow 3 kids to play. If they are UK passport players they should be playing without any question. Put the paperwork in and approve it without delay. Save face and give the sport a good look and the take the high road.

To become a competitive hockey nation the UK needs to nurture its somewhat limited talent pool. The decision by the SIHA appears to be punitive and diametrically opposed to the “principles of equality of opportunity and treating people fairly”.

I am sending this anonymously as I am a relative of someone on the SIH executive and they are unaware of me doing this. This is not an adult dispute as has been portrayed, this started sometime ago by Mrs Headland's behaviour and unfounded allegations against Volunteers at their children's respective clubs, with lawyers letters being sent to both clubs. There also has by both been unfounded and malicious allegations made about SIH volunteers with some as well as parents being questioned by the police. They have taken to this Sport Scotland, Children First and lately the Goverment who said it was a matter for the Govering body. People should also know that SIH subsidised Mrs Headland for some months so her children could be part of National Development girls & boys. They have sent lawyer's letters to SIH and have had numerous replies from SIH lawyer over a long period of time that if they send a meaningful apology and guarantee regarding their future behaviour the children will be registered. So it is the parents that are preventing their kids playing. To all that have criticised the Volunteers who put in endless hours so the kids can play ice hockey, without them your Kid would not be playing ice hockey! Frank Morris you are just like Sandie Shaw's hit record - Puppet on a string
