Absolutely Shocking. Have been aware of this since the start. It's a "take" on a criminal offence to actively disallow a young player from playing a sport they are so heavily involved in, in which they most definitely spend more than 80% of there average day thinking about. Guess the word "DEVELOPMENT" in the organisations title means he square root of zero??....

Let these kids play ice hockey they deserve to play.

Perhaps The Other Side should check their facts parents at our club were informed from the committee that the Club would register these kids but were told the registration would not be accepted by Scottish Ice Hockey. Agree that an association should have the right to refuse registration BUT only with a justifiable, valid reason pertaining to THAT player not his/her parents, grandparents or even second cousins twice removed. Maybe They should stay off a petition for the inclusion of children and start one of their own to exclude them and see how popular that might be!!

Incredible. Adults behaving like children which is preventing children the given right of being children. Let them play. This is ridiculous.

lets get this right and allow those talented and dedicated children play the sport they love.

Just because it's not what you want to here, yes the statment is bold, however, everyone has an opinion, putting a name is irrelevant, every association & club has the right to say No on application, so get over it

This is rubbish!!! how can they do that to the kids!!! I think somone needs a hug on the official side of things!!

3 scottish clubs have submitted registrations for the children as they have been more than willing to sign them and with a 4th willing to accept them to. They have no problem with the parents either.

There is alway an other side, nothing to do with the Scottish Ice Hockey. No Club in Scotland wants anything to do with the Family, Just trouble no club wants to take that on.

It seems that Ice Hockey in this country fails 'Every Child Matters' big time and the EIHA should start to address this for real instead of giving lip service
