Friends and family gathered on 3/14/2014 at Xenia, Ohio's Shawnee pavilion for a candle lit service honoring miss Aimee Caldwell. Though I personally did not know her, her story brought me to tears. A precious life was lost as a cause of bullying. Though she has gone to a better place her memory will never be forgotten, for she touched the lives of everyone around her. Including some she had never met.
I also have lost several friends as a cause of bullying. If you are a bully, look at how your words have a cause and effect. Think before you speak. Could your words take a life?
I urdge you to take charge. Don't stand by and watch someones life be affected. Prevent it before it starts. Stand up when its happening. Fight for someones future that could be lost. Stand up before its to late. You could save a life by speaking up. I have made this petition to speak for those who have been lost. To urdge schools to take more action against bullying, talk about it more, and to look for the signs.
A place may be big, but your actions are bigger
