Our goal is to extend our lunch time to allow students who go off campus to have time for safer travel to and from school, enjoy their lunch more thoroughly, and allow time for possible make up work for classes. The time we start school and end would not change, and the schedule would be as follows:
•0 Period: 6:55-7:55 AM
•1st Period: 8:00-9:00 AM
•2nd Period: 9:05-10:05 AM
•3rd Period: 10:10- 11:10
•Lunch: 11:10- 11:55
•4th Period: 12:00-1:00 PM
•5th Period: 1:05- 2:05
•6th Period: 2:10-3:10

The administration has acknowledged the volume of signatures and requested a formal meeting to discuss the schedule proposal. I am currently drafting a briefing document that outlines the safety benefits and academic impacts of the proposed lunch extension. This meeting will be the primary focus of my efforts this week.

PLEASE make this happen. 45 mins is barely enough time to even wait in the long lunch line let alone eat.
getting to the off campus spots and back in time is stressful i feel like i have to run just to get a bite to eat
my brain is always fried by 4th period because i never have a second to relax during the day
Lunch really does need to be longer so we aren't stuffing our faces trying to talk
Lunches should be longer because it gives us more time to eat our food and eat.

im down for this. lunch is way too short right now.
