I am a pro athlete and race long distance (PRO) since 2017. A week before my win in IM70.3 Weymouth I was removed from the list of athletes who have to keep their whereabouts complete in order to have out-of-competition testing (because I didn't race ITU anymore). I know I am racing clean but am disappointed in the fact that I am only tested twice in international half distance races, which probably means that more pros are not being tested as it should be. Especially since last October where I got 2nd in a race, where there was rumour about the winner who would have taken cortisone before a race because she was allergic to jellyfish...

I agree, after over 10 years as a serious 70.3 and 140.6 competitor I believe I saw a lot of athletes doping. I stopped competing for this reason.

Find a way to test enough athletes that everyone knows there’s a chance they could be caught. Any deterrent is better than what there now which is nothing.

At least all WC slot takers should be tested. Let's keep this sport clean!

I have been on 15 WTC AG podiums including 2 World Championship podiums and have never been tested. I have on 2 occasions contacted the WTC anti doping email to ask specific questions about meds and have NEVER had a response. (USADA answered my questions but not a word from Ironman.)
Mandatory doping tests for Ironman events
I support this cause
