Matic and Barnes was a coming together of 2 committed players, it was the angle Matic challenged from which caused the coming together, Barnes leg didn't deviate from the angle it was moving to clear the ball, therefore, no intent just a coming together caused by the timing of the challenge. I see there's been no mention of Oscars challenge down the Achilles of Danny Ings, or the fact that Heaton put the ball out of play to allow Ben Mee (not a player to feign injury) treatment, only for the "Classless" Chelsea not return the ball, instead they tried to profit from the injury to a fellow professional........ Martin Atkinson's well below required standard performance today has cost us not only potentially 2 valuable points but we will now miss one of our most valuable player's for three matches which include a cup final but could have also put Matic's season in jeopardy by failing to punish Barnes who appeared intent on causing the serious damage to the a couple of Chelsea players this afternoon!

Martin Atkinson has no business refereeing in any league. His consistently poor judgement not only creates tension in the games, but his failure to take firm actions will inevitably cause serious injuries to players, and even end their careers due to such injuries.
