Against Implementation of an A/B Block Schedule in Rutherford County Schools

Rutherford County is looking to change the traditional schedule of High Schools to an A/B Block.
Concerning the School Schedule (2010-2011) (Draft) Version 4, it is clear that an A/B schedule would confuse and not be an effective tool to enable the students of Rutherford County to achieve a satisfactory education. Not only would this schedule be difficult on students, but also on teachers regarding applicable planning periods, how many students they would have to teach per day, and also suitable training for this new block schedule. There are many other issues teachers and students have found concerning this schedule and wish for their voice to be heard.
Therefore, we the undersigned, respectfully ask the Rutherford County School Board to reconsider the A/B Schedule and replace it with a 4x4 Block and to listen to Rutherford County's hardworking teachers and students.
